Does anycat know what causes this? It isn't itchy or red or scabby, and it doesn't really bother me at all. It's only on the one side. I looked it up on the net and none of the stuff I found seems to be the answer. Should I go to the v-e-t, or do you think it's nothing serious? Has anycat had this happen to them? Did it go away?

Middle Name Meme

My good buddy Java tagged me for a meme the other day, but The Blonde One has been so stinkin' busy, she just got around to helping me with my blog. I haven't posted in over a month!

Here are the rules:

1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.

2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name or your mother's maiden name).

3. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person (or blogger of another species) for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged.)

I don't really have an official middle name, but I am known as Toby the Snowshoe. So I guess we'll go with 'the'.

T = terrified. I am often terrified of things that enter the house like large boxes, crinkly bags and aluminum foil, and beans I don't know.

H = hungry. I am always hungry.

E = entertaining. My beans say I'm much better than anything on TV.

Now, I get to come up with 3 bloggers to tag. The Blonde One hasn't set up a friends list for me, so I peeked at some on other blogs. heehee

I know I haven't posted for a while, but The Blonde One has been too stinking busy to help me post, and it's just too hard to type for myself. I hope effurrycat has been doing well! I've read a lot of your posts, but haven't had time to stop by to say "hi" very often!

Here are my New Years' Resolutions:

1) Eat more Temptations.
2) Um... What was that next one? Oh yeah, eat more Temptations.
3) Nap more.
4) Did I mention the Temptations?

5) Oh, and never let this happen again.

Also, I'd like to resolve to post more, but that really depends on The Blonde One, and she doesn't even have much time for her own blog. We'll have to see...

7 things you might not know about me

Karl tagged me for a meme. Here are seven things you might not know about me:

1) I am not an only cat. There are four other attention stealers in my house.

2) The beans thought I was a boy when I was a kitten until a doctor friend told them I was a girl. They dressed me up in one of The Blonde One's hair scrunchies like it was a skirt or something! Eventually, they found out that their doctor friend was wrong and that their original assessment was correct, but I still carry the emotional scars from that very difficult time. (They even video taped me!)

3) I'm not proud of this, but I am afraid of anything new. Sometimes My Scatching Post will bring in a large box, and I will run and hide! In my defense, I truly feel that one cannot really be too careful. I mean, there could be a vishus deer in one of those boxes!!

4) I allow The Blonde One to share my side of the bed. I am even kind enough to allow her to settle in first sometimes, and then I lay on her legs so that I will be notified if she decides to get me a midnight snack. This has never yet happened, but I remain hopeful.

5) I have this 'thing' about cardboard. I love it when a small cardboard box sits open on the floor and I can flip the flap up and down. I sniff it and I lick it. It's wonderful... I'm not really sure why.

6) As of a few days ago, I finally have my very own bed placed up on the stereo. I love it!! But I still like to keep The Blonde One warm at night.

7) I am a fly hunter extraodinaire. And they make the bestest snacks!

Dressin' up the staff...

I feel so furry honoured! Anastasia dropped by a few days ago and challenged me to dress up my staff! Unfortunately, The Blonde One hasn't been feeling all that well lately and keeps having to go to the V.E.T. (ofurr and ofurr again!) so she hasn't had a lot of time to help me with my blogging. But don't worry -- she always has lots of time to snuggle me so I'm not neglected or anything. In fact, she said something about how comforting I am. Hmm. Imagine that.So here's The Blonde One, who is apparently having a really bad hair day, and My Scratching Post, who apparently thinks he's related to Carmen Miranda. Aren't they adorable? Actually, I think they're a bit weird, but that's the way they always are anyway.

My meezer rule for today is really quite simple. If you're wearing red, make sure your bean doesn't mess with the red eye reduction thingy on the camera. It makes for a more dramatic picture. And notice the jaunty way it's tied in the back, all sticking up? They meant to do that. I think.

It's time again for Meezer Rule Wednesday at Simply Siamese!

Caesar left a really nice comment on yesterday's Toes Tuesday post. He told me my paws were really clean, so I thought my Meezer Rule for today would be about how important it is to be consistent with the grooming of the paws. First, you have to get into the most comfortable position you can, because this could take awhile. Persistence and repetition are key. Here's a picture of me demonstrating my technique: Ahhh... I could do this for hours...

So, My Meezer Rule for today is:
Be sure to do proper cleaning of your paws (all four!) because the beans don't like it when you walk all over them with dirty, smelly paws.

And we all know how fun it is to walk all over the beans, don't we! So remember, let's keep it clean!

Oh, how I love to play! I'm always trying to get Jazzpurr to play with me, but he's an old fuddy duddy sometimes, and he just hisses and slaps at me.Don't I just have the cutest tummy you ever saw?

Wisper usually hisses if I get within ten feet of her. What's with these cats? As you can plainly see, I am showing her my adorable cuteness, but she is unmoved. Pfft!

Latte recently informed The Blonde One that I am a Snowshoe Meezer. She was wondering if my best bud Jazzpurr is one too? Here's his mug shot:

Jazzpurr is much more vocal than I am, his eyes are very blue and a bit crossed at times, and he's also much skinnier. He was an abandoned kitty down in Florida, and we know nothing at all about his mum and dad. Does anyone want to clue The Blonde One in on this one? Jazzpurr and I know, but we're not tellin'!

Meet my housemates. I'm on the far left, and going clockwise, there's Pinos, Jazzpurr, Lil' Jen, and Wisper.

Pinos is a 14 year old male, Jazzpurr is an 11 year old male, Lil' Jen is a 9 year old female, and Wisper is a 15 year old female. I'm 4 years old.

My Scratching Post already had Wisper and Pinos before he married The Blonde One. Then he found Jazzpurr and gave him to her when they were dating. She didn't really like Jazzpurr much at first because he was at that awkward, gangly stage and kept running around the house and crashing into things and meowing really loud. She thought he was nuts, but he grew on her. I think he must have been so cool! He's my best bud.

Lil' Jen came along later. My Scratching Post named her after The Blonde One. He thinks it's funny, but she thinks it's weird, and slightly embarassing. Lil' Jen is kind of cool, except she growls at everyone when we eat cuz she thinks we're gonna get more than her. She's an animal!

Pinos is pretty nice, but we don't talk much. He stays mostly to himself, except sometimes he snuggles with Lil' Jen.

Wisper is really kind of irritating. See the door in the picture? She did that. She's gonna break through one day. They all live in the basement cuz they don't stay off the table and counters as good as me. I know how to wait till no one is looking, but they just hop right up! Also, Pinos has a little pee problem, and he ruined the carpet at the last place my family lived (that was before they found me). But don't tell anyone about the pee thing, cuz he's incredibly sensitive.

So anyway, that's the crew. I'll fill you in on more about them later.

They call me Toby, but my real name is Zorbanorf, slayer of the flies. But we'll just go with Toby for now.

A cat's life is a pretty good one. Lots of decent food, plenty of affection (sometimes too much!), and even the occasional hunting opportunity when some foolhardy bug makes it's way into my domain.

I've been visiting a few cat blogs with The Blonde One, and you guys are terrific! It's way cool to read about all the interesting things you're all doing. And may I say, there are some fine looking felines out there. (But my heart belongs to Katieluv.)

I don't know just how much I'll be able to get involved in things like Meezer Mondays, or that Thirteen thing , but maybe I'll be able to get on my computer more often when life settles down a bit for The Blonde One and My Scratching Post (trust me, he asks for the scratching).
